Tensions in the north stop, Serbian List calls protest for tomorrow

The party, which is led by Goran Rakic, has invited all Serbs from the Republic of Kosovo to protest in northern Mitrovica tomorrow.

Communications say the operation is based on the orders of the Constitutional Court in Pristina and has been supervised by the Special Prosecutor.

It also became known that Kosovo police during the development of the operation have faced armed resistance at the entrance of Zubin Potok, where armed groups were keeping the roads blocked through established barricades.

As a result of the operational plan implemented today in co-operation with the Kosovo Police, the Kosovo Police Inspectorate has so far arrested 19 police officials suspected of criminal acts. Arrested police officials have been brought to the Kosovo Police Inspectorate building.

“Police have arrested nine more citizens for whom there were arrest warrants and seven citizens who have prevented the police from fulfilling its duties. A Russian national has also been arrested at the barricade in Zubin Potok. Mihajl Alexandrevic Krasnoschenkov, who had placed UNMIK license plates in the barricade. The Russian official was later released.
