In KTV's interactive, Tahiri has indicated on the move to return 110 Kosovo citizens from Syria in April.
“was the end of September 2018 when the prime minister has mandated me to coordinate the operation for the return of Albanians from Syria. The number of our citizens in those areas has dropped greatly. Finally we saw that he also had a victim who was part of a terrorist organization. Let's get rid of this war forever. Victims must be rehabilitated and criminals tried. While we still have people there, the name of Kosovo will be part of international media, unfortunately. The kids we sent back had no future there. They would either become part of terrorist groups, or they would either be victims, or we would be trafficked. We could not be indifferent to our children who are there without their will. They're victims. The event has lasted about six months with US support. Nine of the children are orphans, without both parents. For some of them, the State has provided shelter. The majority are in their families, while part of the suspected women are under house arrest, and for those we have evidence, they are in prison”, Tahiri said.
He said the risk of returnees was well analysed by AKI, saying Kosovo has avoided risks far greater than Syria returnees.
We've done a clear analysis and I'm very happy that we have an AKI that in the area of pursuit of terrorism is extremely prepared. That analysis has been presented to the institutions and we have everyone's profile clear and I say Kosovo has averted much bigger risks. I think we've also had abusers for material gain. Victor Ludrovci is under arrest. Some of them have sold their interviews to foreign media, among them I believe it is also Ludrovci”, the justice minister said further.
He said there are still children in war zones, but not in the area where the first group has returned. Remaining in war zones, according to Tahiri, are on the border with the Turkish state.
It won't be easy to get out of these areas. We'll try, whether they're victims or terrorists. We do not allow our citizens to be a threat to the world”, Tahiri said.
He said the action on the return of Kosovo's citizens from war zones in Syria has also informed the states of Quinti.
Tahiri said Kadri Wessel is the only candidate for PDK chairman, as well as will be mandated for Kosovo's prime minister in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
