Swiss hand over weapons

So, just a week after the sweeping majority vote for the rigging of weapons regulations, thus adapting to EU legislation in this area, police in cantons: Luceren, Nedwaalden and ObWalden have organized the collection of weapons from citizens today.
Under this action it has been achieved that 670 firearms will be collected in these three cantons, the police of Lucron Canton, writes sf.ch.
From this number, 540 guns were delivered only to the Canton of Lucern.
The action has also been enabled to hand over firearms, which under the hardened weapons law are no longer legal, broadcast albinfo.ch.
In addition to the mention of firearms, ammunition, including eight kilograms of explosives, and about 200 explosive capsules, have been handed over during the action.
Weapons and other collected materials will be destroyed, police inform further.
