Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri said the only form to remove and weaken criminal groups is sequenting wealth.
To achieve this, the minister said they have managed to enable legislation to enable the justice system to take appropriate action.
The matter of sequencing now 17 months as a priority minister has been addressing our shortcomings for the sequentity of illegal property. Today we have a law that we have achieved to make a profound reform to be more successful and efficient. The only form to remove criminal groups is sequencing wealth, whether in institutions or wherever. The other important issue is the Penal Code and Criminal Procedure”, the minister said.
Kosovo Judiciary Council chief Skender Cuchaj said that without the confirmation of property fighting corruption and organised crime is in vain.
We can't boast much of the seizures that have been committed so far, if we don't hit it in crime by sequentification then it's nothing”, he said.
And the chairman of the Oda of Lawyers, Osman Havolli, said that by means of this table, they will try to fight this phenomenon in order to have less negative phenomena.
