Added security measures warned near Mitrovica rivers and lakes

With the aim of the precautionary action company in providing security, under the implementation of the operational plan “summer session”, with the initiative of the director for Protection and Rescue, Nehat Bahtiri, municipal officials along with the Kosovo Police, today have visited several areas of rivers and lakes that could pose a threat to citizens. During this inspectionrepresentatives from the Directorate for Protection and Salvation in cooperation with the Kosovo Police have estimated that the most endangered areas are along the artificial lake, seeking to increase the number of risk signs and warning for visitors by means of marks and depth segments, water currents and other possible risks.
Similarly, it has been required to make obstacles (trains close to dams) by the fact that the momentum of water poses a danger mainly to children.
In this case, the chief of the Security and Emergency Sector, Bahtir Maxhun, said these targets are designed to be undertaken based on the action plan, with the aim of creating a safe and secure environment in river areas, and artificial lake, which is being frequented by a large number of citizens.
Municipal representatives have expressed readiness to co-ordinate activities in creating conditions and security, as well as pledging that within options they will take the initial measures in meeting the signs and barriers.
