Meta called for protests to be peaceful, writes Periscope.
However, the president points out that in previous protests, despite civic support, several acts of unacceptable violence have been observed, so he reminds the opposition that “the justice of your cause should not be affected by the uncontained actions of certain individuals”.
“It is the responsibility of the leaders of the United Opposition to manage protests where they invite citizens to participate. Only in this way, your cause for true democracy, which guarantees a broad civic co-existence, legitimacy and functionality of institutions, will be better heard inside and outside the country”, the president says in his response.
The opposition's ongoing “Processors have had attention and are broadcast by the world's best-known media, but the completely peaceful images of your protest will better serve Albania's European future”, he said.
