While Kosovo President Hashim Thaci shared Kosovo's “Hero order”, where Mentor Retkocer's parents accepted the award from former Lapi Operative Zone commander Rrustem Mustafa simultaneously.

And in his honor, the memorial academy at the Albanological Institute in Kosovo has been held.
