Opposition in Serbia issues with declarations of reconciliation between Serbs, Albanians

Freedom and Justice Party (SSP) in Serbia introduced today a draft Declaration for the reconciliation of the Serbian and Albanian people, which envisions the way people's life problems are resolved while the status issue remains, because, as they say from this party, at this moment, it cannot be resolved because of [...] positions.
“This Declaration calls for reconciliation, promoting good things from the common past and removing obstacles”, has said SSP deputy chairman Borko Stefanovic, former chief of Serbia's negotiating team with Kosovo, at a press conference, adding that the “orarchies banned” in Belgrade and Pristina cannot bring reconciliation.
He said this document represents the clear direction of the movement for two peoples who do not want to be trapped in the accounts of hatred and continuing disagreements”.
Our “Vision in terms of Kosovo and Metohija status is known, but we didn't want to expose it in this document”, Stefanovic said, Serbian news agency “Beta” reports.
Meanwhile, SSP Chairman Dragan Gjillas said life problems could be solved “jointly, if we are willing, open, we want to co-operate, of course with the help of the international community”, while stressing that the regimes in Belgrade and Pristina exploit the Kosovo problem for “internal political goals” broadcast Koha.net.
“This will be the party policy that we will implement when we are in power, we will insist on this as the initial document for further talks”, Glillas said, adding that “life does not expect politicians” and that the problems should be solved as soon as possible.
He said they will not participate in Monday's session in Serbia's Parliament, where Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq will talk about Kosovo.
The proposed declaration envisions the adoption of a series of protocols on co-operation of security and justice systems, freedom of movement, resolving property rights issues, economic co-operation, co-operation in the field of culture, sports, media, education, health.
The statement also says that the current political and historical moment requires bold and long-term solutions, but not least <x0-> quick solutions that threaten to fuel clashes in the Balkans”.
