Today's IPK action in co-operation with the Kosovo Police has run into armed resistance in northern Mitrovica, resulting in many injured and arrested.
19 police officials and 9 citizens have been arrested in this action, reports Insander.
The newspaper Insider, learns from its sources the names of 19 police officials arrested in today's action.
They are: Zenel Bahtiri, Ramadan Rrustemi, Ali Plana, Jasno Dorovijq, Albert Maxhuni, Reshat Red, Izet -, Christa Subotic, Milja Milenevicq, Besim Merovci, Biljan Medelkovovic, Verelub Dimitroviq, Dejan Spasojevicq, Bozide Milosavovq, Zedan Spasojac, Abdurrah Hoq, Oliver Kozmanovicq, Ana Bosovie Barq and Blizoje Laq.
This police operation has preceded a several-month investigation of IPK, the PK, led by Kosovo Special Prosecutor, which has resulted in suspicion of involvement of several police officials and some citizens in “Pjesis or Organising of the Kosovo Criminal Group”, in connection with other criminal acts such as “smuggling with Mallra<3>, <x4Kesq misuse of the Official Pozi@5x>, <6> <6thWestVENVENCHEVEW, <8x>, Stop <8th>, etc.
Despite facing armed resistance in north Mitrovica, the police operation has continued until a few minutes ago.
Besides the arrests, the operation has resulted in seizures of relevant evidence, including long arms.
