Kosovo, UK soon with free trade agreement

Trade and Industry Minister Andrew Shala during his meeting with Andrew Mitchell, United Kingdom Trade Commissioner for Europe, stressed that the United Kingdom has contributed greatly to Kosovo's construction.
Shala expressed gratitude for the United Kingdom, which is heedare in the freedom and independence of the Republic of Kosovo, adding that the excellent political relationship between the two countries will return in an economic way as well.
Minister Shala and Commissioner Mitchell agreed that soon the agreement between Kosovo and the United Kingdom for free trade will be signed.
Shala also explained Kosovo's potential for foreign investment, starting with renewable energy, investment in mines, agriculture and tourism.
Also, Minister Shala and Commissioner Mitchell agreed on the initiative of the agreement to protect and promote UK investments in Kosovo.
Commissioner Mitchell praised relations between Kosovo and the United Kingdom, suggesting that Britain has interest in boosting trade exchanges and also increasing its presence with investors. Along with Commissioner Mitchell at the meeting was United Kingdom Ambassador to Kosovo Ruairi O'Connell.
