IPK recommends suspension of five police officials

Full announcement by the Police Inspector:
Kosovo Police Inspectorate in 18.05.2019 has been reported by the North Mitrovica Regional Directorate, respectively, regarding a complaint by a (minor) citizen by Leposaviqi, who has complained of overstepping police authorisations, respectively, by police officials.
IPK investigators after accepting the complaint have taken investigative action in consultation with the competent prosecutor by appearing at the scene and providing various evidence that could help clarify the case.
After collecting information from investigators in consultation with the competent prosecutor, the Police Inspectorate has opened criminal cases concerning this case on suspicion of carrying out the criminal act “Keraging during the exercise of official duty or public authorization” and “Equipment shaltation”.
In line with the IPK law as part of the investigative procedure, the Kosovo Police Inspectorate has recommended today to Kosovo Police the suspension of five police officials at the Leposavisic Police Station until the outcome of this criminal investigation.
