According to Minister Tahiri, the Kosovo judiciary guarantees respect for the dignity and rights of each side in the procedure, news broadcasts.net.
Minister Tahiri's full statement:
Today, our institutions have realised the extradition from Hungary to an individual suspected of war crimes in Kosovo. We have provided full guarantees that in the face of responsibility, we will respect the dignity and rights of each side in the procedure.
It has been a constant commitment, and we will remain committed even further that each one responsible for the war crimes against the civilian population that took place in Kosovo during 1998-1999 will be brought to justice and answer for his own actions.
Consolidating the legal base and increasing the capacity of the justice system's organs has been done precisely to increase the efficiency of establishing justice for victims of these crimes.
The Republic of Kosovo and its judicial order are embedded on the basis of sounder democratic and justice principles.
Human rights enforcement, equality before the law and every segment that connects with the suspected potential persons for criminal acts, including those related to war crimes, will always be valid.
