Hoxhaj: Paris summit will be lost if it does not project clear expectations for dialogue

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj has said the Paris Summit is crucial whether we will have an agreement with Serbia this year or fail. He has stressed that clear principles of dialogue would have to be designed in the French capital.

These comments Hoxhaj has made during a conversation with the following Vienna Diplomatic Academy, which are staying for study visits to Pristina.

“Viti 2019 is a major opportunity to reach the agreement with Serbia, but also a lost chance if the Paris Summit does not project clear principles, expectations and parameters about dialogue. I discussed this position and other topics with a group of followers of the Vienna Diplomatic Academy who are staying for a study visit to Kosovo. I stressed that Kosovo is interested and prepared to reach an agreement, and this can be done through a US and EU interaction. But this great opportunity of this year can easily turn into a big disappointment. Only with a literal container agenda and time makes 2019 opportunities for agreement but otherwise a year of failure. Kosovo, thanks to the support of friends, has been able to constantly strengthen internal construction and expand Kosovo's sovereignty by integrating into international society” has said Hoxhaj.
