LDK Parliamentary Group chief Avdullah Hoti at the extraordinary session for Kosovo Telecom said the Parliament for the second time today is debating the company.
Hoti said that on July 12th 2018, this nation has asked the Government for taking the necessary measures to get Telekom out of the serious financial situation.
Hoti said that no more is required in that resolution, only to implement the law for public enterprises and cancel any decisions that conflict with this law. Hoti said the crisis has deepened, on the contrary, has increased employment on clean nepotistic and political grounds.
Similarly, the audit has not been made and the prime minister has not reported on the issue in the Assembly.
Why is Telekom going bankrupt today? The first Telekom is not bankrupt because there is no market, Telekom is bankrupt due to harmful contracts with private companies that are exploiting Telekom without any economic criteria and mutual benefits. These contracts are designed to destroy Telekom and win certain groups. The contract with Z-mobile, with zero investments from this company, has brought Z-mobile over 100m euros in revenue. A former Telekom director has publicly stated that former Prime Minister Thaci has pressured him to sign this” contract, Hoti said.
He has shown how Telekom has operated in the last ten years.
In 2007, statistics from Telekom show that there has been a profit of 182m, while in 2017 it has declared 13.8m euros in losses.
According to Hoti, during 2007-2017, while revenues were on the decline, wage and marketing spending were on the rise that opposes any economic logic.
