This “Alliance” was warned to form at the House of Culture in Gracanica, but it was not possible because Serbs had gone out to protest there.
Present in Gazimestan for this were Dragan Djilas, one of the founders of the SVZ, Borko Stefanovovic from the Serbian left, members of the Dveri Movement, European Movement Chairman Rada Trajkovic, Nenad Radosavlevovic, opposition adviser in the municipality of Leposavisic and Marko Jaksic from SDP.
“We are gathered here in this holy place to launch a very important initiative, and this is to prevent our fall for the sake of arrogant power in Serbia. That is why we should start from Kosovo from different political options, citizens' associations, civic initiatives, all good thoughts about ourselves and Serbia. We must unite and we must start”, one of the Alliance's members, Nenad Radosavljevic, reports Free Europe.
So he proposed two agenda points: Forming the alliance for Kosovo and Metohija as well as the Co-ordinator for security and politics in Serbia, with emphasis on Kosovo territory.
“We don't want to work separately from Belgrade, but that with Belgrade we want to find solutions for things in a way that will ensure peace in this region, and peace is what we are promoting”, Rada Trajkovic said before the attendees.
Nenad Radosavljevic then intervened, saying the session should be concluded for security reasons, especially for journalists.
The Alliance for Serbia in early April with representatives of the Serbian opposition in Kosovo announced the formation of a “Alliance for Kosovo and Metohi”, which would include political organisations, citizens' associations and individuals, regardless of their political affiliation.
And the table warned to be held in Gracanica was not realised after a group of Serbs were gathered to protest the formation of “Alance”, ahead of the Culture Centre in Gracanica.
Those employed in Serbia's institutions, also employees of the Gracanica municipality and others in other Kosovo institutions say no one has gathered them, but they have come out to give support to Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vukic, and reject Dragan Djilas, whose arrival was warned today.
European Movement Chairman Rada Trajkovic addressed for a moment the protesters who cheered heavily with placards on their hands that read “We live here”
The reason you are gathered here” is shameful, Trajkovic said February, remains Periscopi.
The group of Serbs who went out to protest cheered against her, while she was heading for Gazimestan.
The Alliance for Kosovo was formed based on the Alliance's reputation for Serbia, led by the Serb opposition: Dragan Djilas, Bosko Obradovic and Vuk Jeremic. / P ERISCOPIA
