Works on rehabilitation and expansion of the heating network have started today in Pristina's Kalabria neighbourhood.
As Termokos reports, under the construction, it will be planned to lock 30 residential objects of the Kalabria district into the heating network, two old residential objects in Ulpiana district, and six residential objects in Matti 1.
Meanwhile, institutional objects, which will be locked in the heating network, are: children's nests “Buzzeqeja” and “Xixloons”, the National Theatre, the Kosovo Philharmonic, the Ministry of Culture, the school “Naim Fraser”, the Police station in the Mournitar district, the Arts Faculty, the EULEX building and the Kosovo Customs.
Thanks to this project, 100 heating substations will be rehabilitated, while 50 substations will be new. The Ulpiana neighbourhood will be rehabilitated 24 substations, Center 10 substations, Dardan 26 substations, Sun Coast 8 substations, while 36 heating substations will be rehabilitated in institutional and public facilities.
As a result, this heating network project will expand by 3287 metres of new pre-Islamic heating tubes, while in the existing 3362m heating network, pipes of different dimensions will be rehabilitated (old clouds will be replaced with new tubes).
This part of the project for expansion and rehabilitation of the heating network has been funded by the European Commission by 8.3m euros, while Termokos and Pristina's Community participate by 250 thousand euros.
