In an interview for the newspaper “Koha Ditore”, the former deputy prime minister, at the same time Bulgaria's former Finance Minister (2009-2013), Djankov has talked about steps the new European Commission is expected to take, which is expected to emerge from elections held Sunday, writes “Koha Ditore” today.
The second priorities, according to him, should be the social cohesion of countries in the region, precisely supporting people for skills and integration. Djankov, who is founder of the Doing Business report, has also talked about Kosovo's ranking in this report, but also about why Kosovo is failing to attract foreign investment.
He has said that Kosovo is a small market and that there is no good infrastructure to export, but, according to him, the Government would need to focus on overcoming small market restrictions by developing electronic services, so not only goods, but also travel services, financial services, accounting services, where smart people are needed, who through computers export these services abroad.
