The results will not be released until the closure of all polling stations, which will take place on Sunday evening. Throughout Europe, right-wing nationalists have organized a co-ordinated challenge to defeat centre-left groups that in the past have dominated the European Parliament.
The Italian party “Linking” has joined forces with other right-wing groups, including a German party, a Finnish and a Danish one. In this way, they are hoping to put a balance in the division of power into the European Union's highest institution.
Although nationalists and Eurosceptic groups are currently small groups in the European Parliament, support for parties opposed to immigration has been increased by the 2014 elections.
In the Netherlands, the centre-left party has started the holiday due to positive results from polls. However, such results are not always accurate.
In Britain, the two main parties -- the Conservative Party and the Labusist Party -- are afraid voters will retaliate because of failure to resolve the Brex issue, while other parties expect more positive results, writes “BBC”
