In the first quarter of this year in Germany were 1.38 million jobs, almost 200,000 more than in the same period last year, the Federal Employment Agency announced today, adding that the largest requirement is for skilled workers with secondary education.
The labour market is still sensitive to risks stemming from indicators that state growth could be reduced. The number of free jobs dropped at the beginning of the year, but this relates to seasonal trends. Compared to last year, there has been an increase in demand for workers “, said Alexander Kubis of the Institute of Work Market Research, which co-operates with the Agency for Employment.
The biggest demand is in the service sector, followed by construction and health care.
At the same time, however, demand for unqualified workers increased.
