On March 17, 1999, Hatage Muriqi, from Peja County, called the city hospital. She was on the verge of giving birth to her first child.
A week ago they killed a doctor and said we never dare come home. We've had another two-three hours until 4:00 a.m. and we called first aid. We've been told what's in question, and we told him it's east, and the first birth,”, describes Hatage Muriqi on the night of March 17th.
The town of Pec was filled with Serbian police and soldiers. In many Kosovo countries, fighting was increasing.
When they showed us that the hospital is full of cops and you don't have a place to stay. I only went with the driver and medical technician. The doctors searched me, came east. He was born normal, he was born well, but he came from making his situation worse”.
The baby's health situation deteriorated, and doctors told her she should be sent to Pristina. Her mother had to stay in Pec for other medications until the girl was sent to Pristina by her aunts.
Her aunts returned to Pec.
Two days later, Mother had decided to go to Pristina with her daughter. But the situation in Kosovo deteriorated even further.
“I couldn't go any more because there was no circulation for Pristina, the entire” movement was shut down, she told REL.
Ayse Rajbogaj was a co-placer of the Muriqi family living in Pristina.
She had gone to visit Flare in the hospital.
Before leaving for Macedonia, Aysa made an unusual move. She took a needle and made it blue - colored, used for seals. She made the flame a mark on the left leg.
According to her, this was the only opportunity for Flaka to be identified at the time demanded of the family.
“We went with the morning bus to Pristina. We're close to the door, we're ringing the bell. When Aysha came out, she started crying out. Blessed am I who came to me by Flare's parents, she said. We didn't know he was named after Flame. Our parents and our whole family were named Erona”, Mrs. Muriqi adds.
20 years later, after returning from America, Ayse Rajbogaj was reunited with Flagen.
