Kachanik Mayor Besim Ilazi said after two decades, they seek justice for all martyrs and martyrs.
“Today, we are being joined by a 20 - year anniversary, an anniversary of homesickness and pride in the work and sacrifice, for the freedom of the country. With great pain we remember Thaci and Gudaki's emblems. They sealed with their blood, freedom of generations. On this day of bloody spring, the enemy's hand was ruthless. And 20 years after what's left is to seek justice. In these ways of pain, we are proud of our history. On its foundation are martyrs and martyrs”, Ilazi said.
The veteran and war doctor, Baytush Jaha, at this memorial academy, has remembered May 21st, 1999, saying this massacre shows the Serb barbarian.
The deployment of KLA units in these villages had great responsibility in order to protect the civilian population. On 21 May 1999, there is a calm before the storm, at 6 o'clock Serbian forces undertook an attack. Even after the promotions, the KLA units managed to cope. This massacre shows Serb weakness and barbarity. Unable to confront Serbian forces, they witnessed their barbarity. Agim Bajrami's statue was burned and persecuted, but there is nothing more valuable and closer to God than being close to the people”, he said.
On behalf of war-free organisations, the Kacanic branch, Hajrush Kurtaj, said that by remembering this 20 year's anniversary, it remembers the stability of the people of Kosovo, as well as the sacrifice and heroism of the fallen martyrs for freedom.
