US withdraws From UN Arms Treaty

US President Donald Trump announced this Friday that his administration would withdraw “the <x0firma” of the United States by the UN Treaty on Arms Trade, in response to concerns expressed by arms rights activists that that that treaty could undermine American access to arms. [...]
“Under the direction of my administration, we will not surrender American sovereignty to anyone. We will never allow foreign bureaucratics to cross the freedom offered by the Second Amendment. For that very reason, my administration will never ratify the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty”, Trump said in front of the audience gathered at the annual meeting of the National Arms Association (NRA) in Indianapolis.
I am here to officially announce today that the United States will revote the effects of the American firm from this mis-designed treaty. We'll withdraw our firm”, he said.
Former President Barack Obama signed the treaty in question in 2013, and then sent it to Senate for ratification. But, in a “live display” during this Friday, Trump signed a letter to the Senate, which is required to halt the ratification process and return it to the White House, “ -- I will sign her resignation”, he said.
The treaty aims to regulate the international trade of conventional amers, including from small arms to tanks, taking special care of “preventing and eliminating illegal trafficking in conventional weapons and mistaking them into the wrong hands”.
