Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq has waited at the meeting US Ambassador to Belgrade Kyle Scott, who has told Serbia would continue the dialogue if the tax is lifted.
Vuciq has also said that Kosovo has ruled out dialogue by failing to implement the Brussels Agreement, establish the Association of Serb majority municipalities, establish the Kosovo Army and impose the tax on Serbian goods.
He has stressed that the international community had to deal with problems that have led to the division of dialogue earlier.
“I am not optimistic, but if Pristina removes the tax, Serbia ready to negotiate” has said Vuciq.
While, according to Serbian media, Scott has said the US supports the return to dialogue, stressing that it is necessary to find the way to that effect because it is in the interest of Serbia, Kosovo and the international community to reach compromise.
