He says meeting with Western Balkan leaders will be a routine meeting of the increased attention of Germany and France for developments in the Western Balkans.
The president says he appreciates increased interest from Germany and France, to congratulate the agreement between Macedonia and Greece, and the focus on reaching a Kosovo-Serbia agreement, but according to him, there will be nothing new from this meeting regarding relations between the two countries.
“Of course Kosovo will participate like all leaders of the Western Balkans, as an independent and sovereign state, but I do not expect anything new from this meeting in reports between Kosovo and Serbia, but it will be a routine meeting of increasing their attention for developments in the Western Balkans. It is a very good possibility that this conference will definitely promote visa liberalisation for Kosovo, but also condemn Serbia's genocide in Kosovo”, Thaci said on Wednesday before reporters.
Otherwise, the April 29th Berlin meeting where leaders of Balkan countries will participate has been warned.
At this meeting, Kosovo is expected to be represented by President Hashim Thaci and Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, Serbia is also expected to be represented by its President Aleksandar Vuciq and Prime Minister Ana Brnabiq.
