So the 20th anniversary of the Atlantic Battalion is being marked. Naturally, the flags of the Atlantic Battalion have been deployed on permission from the Government of Kosovo and the Government of Albania.
As Time knows, their determination also has certain symbolic aspects. Fourteen red flags have been deployed, and the number of persons killed in the recent war in Kosovo is symbolic. Also set are 1650 black flags symbolizing the number of people still considered extinct.
The deployment of these flags has cost around 50,000 euros, which are paid by the Atlantic Battalion.
The Atlantic Battalion will stay in Kosovo until April 20th, until a meeting with Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has been announced Friday.
