Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, who along with Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, will represent Kosovo in Samit, has warned that special emphasis on the summit will be given to continue dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, for reaching a comprehensive and final agreement that will bring even greater stability to the Western Balkans.
Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has said that during the summit in Berlin, he will discuss the possibility of continuing dialogue with Serbia, which, according to him, should be concluded with a final agreement, which will bring stability to the Western Balkans.
Meanwhile, for Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, two are the main issues before this summit begins. The first, for Germany and France to support Kosovo for visa liberalisation, and second, for these two countries to make it clear that in the Kosovo dialogue, Serbia, the topic of changing borders cannot be discussed.
The high representative of the European Union, Frederick Migherini, will also attend this summit.
This meeting will present opportunities to become known for the challenges and highlight efforts to reconcile, establish good neighbourly relations and regional co-operation.
The Western Balkan leaders' meeting is also being seen as a good opportunity for the countries of this region to benefit from joint projects that will be supported by the most powerful states of the European Union, led by Germany.
This summit has said it can be discussed for Kosovo's 100 per cent tax on Serbia's imports, which Serbian authorities have cited as the reason for not continuing dialogue with Kosovo, which is mediated by the European Union.
The summit concerns the support Germany and the European Union give to six Western Balkan countries -- to Kosovo, Albania, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina -- in developing joint projects on their path towards EU membership.
