It has been four months since the Special Court sends the first invitation to interview former KLA soldier Remzi Shala.
But he decided to flee and not respond to this invitation as did all his fellow fighters who were invited by the Court.
Thus, on December 12, 2018, Shala left Kosovo.
And since then no one knows his whereabouts. No lawyer, no family.
Today, news reported that the Special Court about two weeks ago has sent Shala the second invitation.
Again, he was invited only to interview in The Hague.
Yet he refused to answer until he is still on the run.
His family for the News said Commander “The Red Moll” has changed his mind, not even after the second invitation.
We asked him to show up but he didn't change his mind. About two weeks ago, there's also an invitation from the Special Prosecution, but he still won't be showing up”, Remzi Shala's relatives said.
For this matter, Periscop contacted Shala's defence lawyer, Natal Bullaki.
He told Periscop that he has no information either about the second invitation to his client or about his whereabouts.
Finally, it says that communication with Shala's family has diminished.
And since the first invitation I gave him, so far, I have no information. And I had very little contact with my family. I recently had contact with someone from his family. I don't have meetings with his family. I don't know. Whenever he introduces me, I'll show up. Since the media, I've heard of this second invitation, that I've got more” information, he said Bullaki told Periscope.
Periscope has also contacted other Shala relatives, but the same have refused to answer for the issue.
Though unknown to the location, Remzi Shala has been issued arrest warrants by the Prizren Court, as the same had been missing at the January 9th session over the trial of Haxhi Pertesh's 1998 murder.
Special Court officials have warned of consequences for all who, in their opinion, are fleeing justice.
In addition to Shala, all former KLA soldiers have been submitted for interviews at The Hague. Some of them said they were invited by the Special to the quality of suspected witnesses.
So far, the Special Court has called for interviewing even KLA commanders, such as Sami Lushtaku, Rrustem Mustafa and Sylejman Selimi./ P ERISCOPIA
