The Northern Mitrovica municipality owes 13m euros to the regional water supply company “Mitrovica”, KTV reports.
The director of this company, Sami Miftari, has said over the phone that these two years are now bound to pay the VAT.
As it added that 40% of water production is used for this part as well as for the Zvecan municipality.
Since residents in that area do not pay any service they receive, those in the southern part are regular in carrying out these payments.
The Ministry of Economic Development has been sharing means for this company for years, from the taxes of other Kosovo citizens.
From 2009 to 2018, this ministry has allocated more than 6m euros for these expenses in the country's north.
To that end, the minister of this Dikaster, Valdrin Luka, at the Government Meeting has spoken of the problems that are with payments from the northern part of Mitrovica for water pipeline and energy.
Luka has said that Mitrovica's water pipeline has serious problems running that part.
