SBASK wins, spring break begins today

The teacher's strike, which was held earlier this year, is continuing to cause trouble in the education sector. Teachers are insisting that the hours lost during the strike are not replaced, while steadfast is standing the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, which says the decision to replace these hours [...]
For three weeks in a row, from January 14th this year until February 3rd, Kosovo school students were not teaching. But this was not done willingly. Teachers had decided to hold a strike to boost their salary cofficiency.
With the constant demands from MASTTU for classes lost during the strike to be replaced, and the insistence of the SBASKU to prevent this from happening, confusion has also developed among students who are turning out to be mostly damaged in this regard.
However, SBASKA chairman Nundman Jasharaj, after meeting union representatives in municipalities that have been held today, has said that spring break has started in the country's absolute majority of schools.
“Mayors of municipal levels from all municipalities in Kosovo have reported that in the absolute majority of the country's educational institutions the union decision has been respected, which means we can prove that spring break is a break and during these rest days there will be no compensation for lost”, Jasharaj said.
He has stressed that if the court is to make a pro-replacement decision, the SBASKU will respect this decision, why they led him unjust.
“though it is unfair however if the Court says the hours should be replaced, we will respect its” decision, Jasharaj says.
At the same time, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is standing firm in its decision.
MASTTU is insisting that classes lost during the teacher strike should be replaced and respected by Minister of Education Shyqri Bytyqi.
The minister's decision is in effect and should be implemented as such. The Municipal Education Directors are obliged to deal with the implementation of this decision”, MASTCHA's spokeswoman, has told Express Valmir Gashi.
Although the SBASKAU and MASTTU had reached agreement about salaries, teachers are not willing to respect the decision of the first education, Shyqri Bytiqi, who says hours lost during the strike should be replaced.
The MASTA's decision says that of the 15 days lost during the strike, 5 should be replaced on Saturdays, 5 in spring break, and 5 of them replaced at the end of the school year.
And this decision has not liked the union who handed the lawsuit to MAST, calling it unfair.
