The citizens' search for money has been frequented, claiming that they are looking for sick people.
During a research of “Radio Kosovo”, it has been encountered in various individuals who on behalf of seeking charity for people with serious diseases, require money, whether in the streets or even citizens' homes.
One such case has been encountered in a building in the capital, where a girl is asking for money and says she is a student at the UP School of Economics while asking for money for a sick girl. In the request of “Radio Kosovo” for presentation of the patient's documentation and the girl seeking charity, she reacted sharply and left.
And she, the family, the accountant, said to be right in the bank, has a lot of bank accounts open for such cases as disability, sick people, but most don't go and don't give money. That's why we're out in person, at least as much as the residents can. But we too have been given from our own pocket as students. Five or ten euros don't spoil jobs to anyone in the family”, says the girl who was asking for money.
If you're so sure, why don't you offer the whole documentation to the sick girl who needs your help and ID?
We got everything. But that's the way it is, for such skeptical people, it's better not to take it any longer”, she says.
Meanwhile, a source of “Radio Kosovo”, a student at one of Pristina University's faculties respectively, has said that some of its associate residents, whenever left without money, have come out to collect money in the name of a search for any false sick.
I've had some girls we've lived together in a Pristina apartment. When they were left without money, they would go to various streets and dwellings looking for money to send to the sick”, said the girl with the R.D. initials.
That such phenomena are taking place in the capital, confirms for “Radio Kosovo” and chief of the Kosovo Police Investigation Department Riza Silova. He said there's also legal violations in this case, because collecting money, if it's not within the framework of legislation in force, then it also represents criminal acts.
We have cases when we investigate, especially in the city of Pristina. They have not resulted in cases of organised crime, but have proved to be cases that are abused by certain individuals. The police normally treat these. I invite all citizens who are either victims or even witnesses, or have information on this, to report to the police. We treat these cases, because it's something that harms the citizen or manipulates the citizen”, Schillova said.
It has also been revealed by the Kosovo Police Investigation Department that some such cases have been handled by the Directorate for Trafficking in Human Being.
