The minister was hosted at a meeting at the American State Department. Accompanied by Kosovo Ambassador to the US Vlora Citaku, Minister Recica met with Paul Pfeffer from the Office for Central and South European Affairs.
According to an MPMS communique, the meeting discussed the challenges facing the Ministry of Labour and Social Management, especially about unemployment and family and social services.
“At the meeting, actions were discussed and praised about reforms undertaken by MPMS, completing legal infrastructure and starting their implementation, as well as meeting SAA obligations. Also, the conversationators discussed political developments in Kosovo. While in the United States, Minister Recica also held a meeting with Kevin Willcutts from the State Department of Labour. The topic was hard work among children, especially the bad forms of children's jobs, since the case minister showed about the challenges Kosovo faces in these areas. The State Department of Labour pledged to support Kosovo through forms of co-operation, such as training for the Labour Inspectorate, for the Centres for Social Work, Police and other organs, with the aim of preventing, but also for addressing the necessary heavy jobs in children, as well as those about trafficking”, is said in the ministry's communique.
