The chief state prosecutor's office explains that the official announcement of the political subject “Vetevendosje” for holding the protest before the State Prosecutor's object, where, among other things, “... receives seven salaries of the state's chief prosecutor is a false, biased and propagandial conspiracy aimed at undermining the authority and prestige of the head of State.
We consider the public opinion that, U.S. Chief State Prosecutor Alexander Lumezi, as a primary function, only exercises the chief state chief's position, while, according to the laws in power, besides the primary position, State Prosecutor “ex officio” on official duty, is obliged to be committed even as a member of the institutional boards of justice and security, respectively, mechanisms dealing with rule of law. Therefore, the chief state prosecutor from the state budget receives only one salary”, says a communiqué.
Therefore, the exercise of the chief state prosecutor's office and other public commitments are legal obligations stemming from laws adopted in the Kosovo Assembly.
In this case, we remind the public the legal opinion of the Anti-Corruption Agency (AKK), where it says that “all commitments by the chief state prosecutor are not in conflict with the Law to prevent conflict of interest”.
The State Attorney respects the constitutional right of each individual or group assigned to protest, but it will not allow the false and biased findings to be changed into the false cause of individuals, political subjects or certain interest groups.
