The Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI) has held a discussion table regarding workers' rights, where the 1-year-old report on violations of workers' rights in Kosovo was published.
In this case, it was said that violations of workers' rights are large enough and that the state through public procurement is allowing workers' rights to be violated.
KDI representative Florent Spahija said this report contains about 60 cases, according to him, where workers' rights violations in this report lead private security workers.
According to him, violations of workers' rights are all over Kosovo, which is mainly about not taking the pay, not paying the trust, and long schedule.
There have been cases where a person has worked for about seven months without a salary in the municipality of Kline. Other cases, don't pay trust, salary demand as a reason for departure, job removal after injury”, etc., he said.
Job inspector Basri Ibrahim said that in the private sector, there are constantly violations, according to him, but almost in all work provisions there is disrespect for them, whether in the matter of contracts, payments, trust, and long - term.
Citing the lack of employment contracts for workers, Ibrahim said they have found some 700 such cases. Despite this, however, he said there is progress in contrast with last year.
