More than 144kg of cocaine were seized at a maltez port, which was destined for Albania and Montenegro.
SETimes of Malta writes that drugs were found in containers originating from South America.
Customs officers found 40 packs of cocaine weighing 48kg in two containers, while in the third, which was to arrive at Bar in Montenegro, 80 packs weighing 96kg were found.
The projected value of confiscated drugs is about 16m euros, Kosovo Press broadcasts.
By contrast, the Malaysian authorities confiscated over 350kg of cocaine, which had to be completed in Europe over the past two weeks, while some 750kg of drugs have been confiscated since the beginning of the year.
