Four PDK candidates competing in northern elections

It's confirmed today, chairman of The PDK, Kadri Wessel, who has also indicated that he has appointed mayoral candidates in these four municipalities.

These candidate Veselini has confirmed after the meeting he had in his party office today with PDK branch leaders in northern Mitrovica, Zvecan, Zubin Potok and Leposavici.

Among other things, the head of the Kosovo Assembly has ordered Vuciqi to handle its own elections in Serbia, as he said Kosovo Serb citizens are responsible for the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.

Wessel, whose party is already going through the internal election process, has indicated they will run in all four municipalities.

“I know that you have challenges in the northern part, there have now been announced extraordinary elections, which have been announced under the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo. You are the PDK branches in the north and we will participate in the elections. We are the main party with the greatest support we have had since 2017 in all northern municipalities. In the northern part of Mitrovica Gondija has been a candidate, we will continue now with great confidence to have the confidence of the citizens we had in 2017 and win the northern Mitrovica municipality. The PDK participates in four municipalities in both the northern part and northern Mitrovica with candidates for chairmanship, even in Zvecan and Zubin Potok as long as in Leposaviq”, Veselin said.

“We know that they have many challenges, face challenges that are not easy, but Kosovo institutions and the PDK will be close to them at any moment. Gaining local government in northern municipalities from the PDK means a greater incentive to build an even greater faith, trade our Serb fellow citizens in the northern part that Kosovo is our common one, that governance is shared that everyone will be treated equally and there will be no differences in interethnic bases. Leader of The PDK has also talked about Serbian president's positions and statements regarding northern Kosovo municipalities.

Kosovo is an independent state and sovan. Good neighbourly expectations with Serbia, while Alexander Vuciqi should think of his own elections in Serbia alone, this is Kosovo. Serbian citizens of the northern part are citizens of Kosovo, who are the most responsible we have as Kosovo institutions and as Albanian leadership”, Wessel has concluded.
