The impact of the 100th tax with Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and the climate of doing business were one of the main issues of discussion at the OAK representatives' meeting with Libun Aliun, deputy of the Kosovo Assembly.
According to the OAK media communiqué, Aliu praised the oda for the work done so far and added that he wants to be informed of the OAK's stance regarding the impact of the 100% tax on the country's businesses and economy.
Board Chairman Skender Krasniqi said OAK is pro-taxing, but now and now many years has provided an alternative that would avoid the tax and cause Kosovo to have no problems with internationals.
“Ri-negotiation of the CEFTA agreement and Kosovo's entry into CEFTA as a state is considered necessary because part of it is like UNMIK, which violates the Kosovo Constitution”, Krasniqi added.
Deputy Chairman Arsim Selmonmusaj stressed that CEFTA's renegotiation would put the countries of the region ahead of two options: to accept us as the Republic of Kosovo or otherwise would put itself in barriers with us, which would create positive points for Kosovo in internationals.
Diamond board secretary Elshani added that currently communication between institutions and businesses is at a minimum and that existing laws are driving away foreign investors because they are often at odds.
Board member Hasan Gigolaj focused on the poor offer Kosovo has for foreign investors, which led them not to stop in Kosovo but to move to the countries of the region.
Aliu added that he considered this meeting productive in order to get direct authorities from businesses and lobbi in the rift ahead of them.
