Alternative MP Mimoza Kusari has directed several questions to Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and Minister for Economic Development Valdrin Luka, in connection with the contract with the foreign company, Counter Global for electricity production.
Kusari has asked the Government whether the contract is assessed if it is in line with environmental standards.
“15 years since the initiative of this contract until the beginning of the project so far. Does this contract have the economic-Social assessment of whether it is in line with environmental standards”, the Deputy Alternative said.
Kusari has asked Haradinaj and Luka if they have read the 1,000-page contract with the foreign investor.
“With the signing of this contract, the minister is saying, while the price is higher than any state in the region of electricity” is expressed.
