Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Memli Krasniqi in an interview for KosovoPress speaks of the 100% move the Kosovo Government has put on products coming from Serbia and Bosnia, where, according to him, this decision was fair and has shown its effect, but it is a mistake to shift attention completely to this topic, leaving behind many other problems the country has.
MP Memli Krasniqi says it has been long discussed on the tax and the same “has covered” other problems in the country the Government and Parliament had to deal with.
According to him, the tax idea was originally Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj, harmonised then with Kadi Veselin and Ramush Haradinaj.

The chief of the PDK parliamentary group says the tax has given him its own, political and economic effects.
On the question of dialogue, where taxes are seen as an obstacle to its continuation, Krasniqi doubts that only the reason for blocking talks in Brussels.
Krasniqi says reactions by international partners have then caused the tax to have different opinions.
Here he mentions the idea of his boss, Kadri Veselin, who demanded that the tax be suspended for four months so that the way to continue Kosovo-Serbia dialogue would be cleared.
He says that if Serbia did not change access for that period of time, then it would go with full reciprocity.
