Doctors at QKUUK have conducted a specific operation, interfering with a baby less than a month of breathing problems.
The child had complications born in the diaphragm muscle, and until the day of surgery, he was kept alive with respiratory. Such problems are presented at one in twelve thousand children.
After consultation between the Neonatology Clinic and Child Surgery on the day of her 28th birthday, the baby, which bore a weight of 1800 grams, has been subjected to surgery.
Neonatology Director Gevdet Gojnovci says this is a very rare case.
In collaboration with surgeons of Peditical Surgery, the baby has been operated, returned to the clinic, stayed a week, and then moved home with stable condition, weighing about 2300 grams. This is the first case to be operated at neonatal age”, he said.
Children's surgeon Ardian Shefkiu, meanwhile, said that medical staff perform even more complex operations in their children in the medical department.
