The KFOR Office for Information of Staff through a media statement has confirmed that the situation in the north, as well as throughout Kosovo, is absolutely under control and there is no sign or evidence of possible unrest or violence.

Despite numerous calls for irresponsibly irresponsible speculation, unfortunately fabricated gossip continues to circulate through the media and cause unfounded concerns in the population. KFOR confirms that the situation in the north, as well as throughout Kosovo, is absolutely under control and there is no sign or evidence of possible unrest or violence”, the statement said.

According to KFOR, there is no reason for concern and fear. They have clarified that these days, a group of NATO officers accompanied by KFOR, are developing an intelligence activity through Kosovo.

Those officers are from different NATO states, including Albania. The statement reportedly included visits to various locations in Kosovo, including Mitrovica and other locations in the north.

“This is not provocation, but it is a common activity NATO, and the presence of four Albanian officers should not surprise anyone because Albania is a member of NATO for 10 years now. Furthermore, it must be known that Albania also contributes to KFOR mission”, the statement follows.

According to them, KFOR continues impartially to devote itself to the UN mandate to protect all the people in Kosovo, so when KFOR exercises and moves through Kosovo, everyone must feel safer.
