Dutch Minister Mark Harbers, at a press conference, has talked about the phenomenon of illegal immigration.
He has said that co-operation with the Albanian authorities for this problem has so far been fruitful, while warning that “has no chance of Albanian citizens receiving asylum towards Holland”.
“Albanians make up half of the migrants trying to cross into Britain. The number of Albanians applying for asylum this year has increased. Illegal immigrants are at risk of being exploited during their” trip, he said.
He added that Albania considers a safe country, but that the official position of the Netherlands is to preserve the visa-free system with official Tirana.
