Kosovo Parliament Speaker Kadri Veselini has prepared a letter to the parliaments of friendly countries to ask them to draft resolutions formally to recognise Serbia as the cause of crimes in Kosovo.
Government chief Ramush Haradinaj says this is a good initiative, adding that the important thing is for all to be unique.
It's good to be president Vessel's initiative, it's important that we all be unique, so this is a subject that stems from the rights of the victims, human rights. The right of what has happened must therefore be protected and there are secular crimes that have occurred in Kosovo”, Haradinaj has concluded.
Asked whether he is optimistic about international support over the issue, since some countries consider Kosovo's war a conflict and not war, Haradinaj said the truth of crimes committed in Kosovo cannot be denied and that this truth has also been testified at The Hague tribunal.
“I think that the truth of Kosovo cannot be denied, the truth of the crimes of the Serbian state, of the highest institutions, some of them have been confirmed at The Hague Court, even in other courts, but it is important that an institutional decision of Kosovo really be assessed as to what happened in the country, but also to protect the right of the victims, the right of pain, be protected from insult from denial by all those”, Haradinaj said.
Otherwise, a temporary commission has been formed in the Kosovo Assembly, which will draft a resolution through which the denial of crime and genocide in Kosovo will be condemned.
