Haradinaj: Mogarin has caused us trauma

The head of the EU office in Kosovo, Nataliya Apostolova, on the three-year anniversary of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (MSA), has stated that the SAA does not only benefit but also care, which has become very little done in this direction.

Mogerini made these comments at the discussion table organised by the Institute EPIK, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (MSA).

Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said that Kosovo is both in geography and ideology, but also in conviction. According to him, Kosovo is implementing this agreement.

The head of the EU office in Kosovo, Nataliya Apostolova, said the SAA has 598 pages and has 7 extensions and protocols, and is a foundation for the Kosovo European process. According to her, the 100 per cent tariff is against the SAA agreement.

“The SAA has offered many opportunities, but is also responsible. Kosovo has pledged to undertake its international obligations, the agreement offers concrete instruments to improve the economy, fight corruption. It is up to Kosovo to implement this agreement and is actually the heart of the EU. And this should make a new start for the EU market. The SAA does more than bring benefits, brings responsibility. Today three years after the deal, very little has been done in this regard. We call on the Government to do more about the introduction of the state aid inventory. 100 percent tariff is against The MSA's. The EU thinks these tariffs weaken the competitive route for the free ferry”, she said.

She expressed disappointment over the exploitation of funds.

“The EU has come out to do much for Kosovo. We call on the government to work harder on empowering institutions in order to combat corruption. Kosovo should focus on increasing its capacities, needs a political consensus. There is an urgent need for public information about the SAA. The European integration process is not an easy process, the more Kosovo implements the SAA, approaches the EU, and its European future”, Apostolova said.

According to Haradinaj, major difficulties are being met by Moguerini.
