Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj acknowledges that they still face challenges with corruption and rule of law.
According to him, though, these problems have existed even before, in the time of the preliminary governments. At the Kosovo Assembly session, where it is called in interference for the minimum wage, the Government chief said he is interested in raising the minimum wage in Kosovo.
The prime minister asked MPs to maintain a credibility of the discussion, since he said he is not guilty of all that has been happening since 2011 until now, regarding the private sector.
“I agree that we have problems with corruption, other consecutive challenges and law, are not today's, I believe, we all know that they existed even in the pre-government time, this is not an amnesty for this government, we have to face corruption,” has said Haradinaj.
But if someone wants to convince me, or Mrs. Minister or minister who in the government Mustafa is not behind corruption, I don't think it's good to talk to him like that, not that he's behind, I don't know if he's after the prosecution, but when there's corruption, there's the prosecutor, there's no judge, and I've never been, but I'm gonna tell you please take this topic together. I'm interested in doing it, we've done some other topics, and I really believe that entrepreneurs will understand us”, he added.
Haradinaj said they are not aiming to harm entrepreneurs, who hardly give salaries to workers.
On the other hand, he said it is also important to increase law enforcement at work, and workers' rights.
The prime minister's statement came after that of LDK deputy Hykmete Bajrami, who said that the year after year the private sector has been suppressed in the country and public sector salaries have been increased with the aim of winning votes.
