The European Commission will propose the official opening of negotiations with Albania.
Commissioner Johannes Hahn has warned this at the European Parliament's Foreign Commission session, arguing with the fact that Albania and Macedonia should receive answers to the standards they have achieved.
The commissioner, who presented the prospect as a European issue and the Balkan countries' expected enlargement, has recalled the situation of actors outside the region who intervene if EU policy does not take concrete measures.
European parliamentarians, meanwhile, demanded explanations for the veto situation by member states following European Commission decisions, viewing this as a major obstacle to the accession of new countries.
The parliamentary foreign commission received reports of countries drafted by Europarliamentaries on Monday, while praising that the financial situation envisioned in the 2021-2027 funds supports expansion and economic development in the region.
Hahn has reiterated the fact that unless Europe exports stability to the Balkans, it will import instability. /rtsh/
