Embassys issue hands for visas, qualified workers from Kosovo

Fears that with visa liberalisation from the European Union Kosovo will be emptied by young people are not resulting in reality, as with the entire Schengen wall many Kosovars are fleeing to Europe.
But such migration is already taking place legally in contrast to years ago when some 100,000 Kosovars fled the country through Hungary. The embassies of various European Union states have recently given up working visas for qualified workers from Kosovo, as in their countries there is a huge demand for new labour power.
In recent weeks, Kosovo media have reported that every night several buses with young people from the country are travelling to Croatia or Germany, where they have found jobs. It has even been said that Croatia's Embassy in Pristina is working long hours to meet Croatian businesses' demands to secure workers before the start of the summer season.
