The Energy Regulatory Board (ZRRE) -- today at this year's fifth session -- has reviewed tariffs for transmission services, distribution and retail supply fees with universal electricity. Under the Board's decision, retail tariffs for regulated consumers will remain the same for this year's Tatar (1 April 2019) March 31, 2020).
Part of the Board's review, in this session, has been the operator's request of the distribution system (KEDS) to open an extraordinary review of the regulatory parameters for the 2018 period 2022. But the Board, praising that the ECDS's request did not meet the legal criteria for opening extraordinary reviews and has no legal support, nor from financial impact mirrors, has decided to reject it by continuing the application of current regulatory parameters. Based on these parameters, the Board, on March 28th, 2019, has assigned Maximed Entrances for Transmitting Operators, Distribution and Universal Service Supply.
In this session, the Board has also approved the Gjakova City Warmer's request for obtaining preliminary authorisation for the construction of the plant for thermal and electric energy production from Biomas, with an installed capacity of 15 MW for thermal energy and 1.2 MW for electricity production. This project will be funded by the European Union and is the first in the country by sources of biodiversity. After review the board has approved the company's request “Enerco LLC” Shp.k.K for obtaining a license for electricity supply, thus bringing the number of licensed electricity supplies to 8 suppliers and creating even more favourable conditions for operating a free electricity market”, the ZERE report said.
In this session, it is said further, it is also set for approval of a consumer's request, from the municipality of Pristina, for building self-consuming generation capacities from solar panels, with a installed capacity of 5 kW.
“Prespectation as usual, there have been consumer complaints as well as several other issues management of the Regulatory Office”, the announcement concludes.
