Are elections in the North failing: CEC confirms to Periscope that alone PDK is certified

Even after eight days since the opening of the certificate deadline for participation in the elections to be held in the four northern municipalities, the Central Election Commission (KQZ) has accepted only one application, writes Periscope.

The superior has contacted the CEC and told him that only the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) has so far applied, which has submitted the application for chairmanship of these four municipalities.

Meanwhile, the deadline for political subjects and candidates to apply to be certified for participation in the extraordinary elections in these four municipalities is April 18th.

The announcement of extraordinary elections came after the resignation they gave, in late November of 2018, the mayors of the four northern municipalities, in protest of the Kosovo Government's decision to impose a 100% tax on goods coming from Serbia and Bosnia's Hercegovaina./Periscopi
