Tourists have been seen stepping on flowers to take the desired photos and sit on them, having been badly broken and damaged by creces.
Simon Pennings, one of the tulip growers in the southwest region of the Netherlands, was the first man to build a circle in his field of flowers. In the fence he put a banner that says: “enjoy the flowers, respect our pride”.
They're very careless. Many people visit us who are very good, but they level everything. Last year I suffered damages of 10,000 euros. They want to make “selfee” at any cost”, Pennings told tourists.
Nicole van Lieshout from the local tourist office said a group of 40 volunteers will legalise money to tourists regarding the history of the Tulip fields. It said: “Recent Years, the number of tourists has steadily increased. Everyone wants to take the perfect picture. They seem to be thinking that these fields were made only for them”, writes “The Guardian”.
