US donates 37 armour for Armed Forces

The international MaxxPro MP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) armoured tools will be used by the structures of our Armed Forces, which are part of NATO collective protection.
At the handover ceremony, Defence Minister Olita Dzacka, in charge of the work of the United States in our country, Leyla Moses-Ones and Chief of the FA General Staff, Brigadier General Bardil Kolcaku attended.
Minister Gacka thanked the US government for its continued assistance to our country and praised the donation of 37 armoured vehicles, which would increase the capacities and performance of our Armed Forces.
This package translates into more capacity qualities, more joint commitments and certainly more security for both our country and the alliance. The new armed by NATO standards, the new package of HMWV and RAG vehicles that are being added to the inventory of FA equipment, are literally changing the daily reality of the jobs of our military, as well as increasing their performance day, during the exercise of duties at operating theaters, where” are participating.
“The networks will enable the expansion of the spectrum of tasks and mission of our troops and increase personnel' safety, especially against mines and improvised explosive devices, which are already considered one of the most present threats in the operating environment”, Minister Gacka said.
In charge of US work in our country, Leyla Moses-Ones named the donation of armoured vehicles to help not only our country but also the Alliance. Ms. Moses-Ones praised Albania's role in the region and the current leadership of the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces to strengthen co-operation in the field of defence.

This new armoured capacity will boost Albania's internal defence, strengthen NATO's southern arm, and provide crucial military powers in NATO that can be deployed in support of global operations. This is another example of how Albania is growing as a regional leader in the Balkans. Under the excellent direction of Minister Gacka and General Kolcak, communication and co-operation between our military forces has never been stronger, while the distribution of these vehicles marks the completion of a phase of our co-operation. ”
37 recently donated armoured vehicles are part of the United States government's aid package for our Armed Forces.
Protected and resistant tools against ambushes and mine traps have a crew of 3-7 military personnel.
